I plan to include reactions to president Trump&#8217;s immigration sentiments that are present in the media and in art. Below, I have started to write some of it. It is incomplete, but will be written as time progresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this page, I will include images relating to media and art, links, videos, and some books to check out. I will also include quotes and narratives of immigrants themselves, further pushing the idea that human rights include being able to have your story heard and not erased from you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In modern times, as President Trump and the news have brought immigration to the forefront of our minds, immigration has become a part of popular culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Spongebob Musical is a striking example of how immigration has made it to the forefront of children&#8217;s media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Descendants trilogy is another striking example of this. Descendants 3, released last summer, provoked much response, especially on Twitter, citing it as a political statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zombies 1 and 2 cite an unwillingness to know as the source of many problems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, as I am writing this, as of today, President Trump has signed an executive order barring immigration. How long this will last, I am unsure of. I am sure that it comes from fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This portion of the webpage is still under construction.
